Wind Advisory issued for North Georgia and the Carolinas

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for North Georgia and portions of western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina. The advisory is in effect from 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, until 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 5.

Winds will be from the south at 15 to 25 mph, with gusts up to 50 mph expected.

Forecasters caution that these gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down, resulting in a few power outages. Strong winds can make driving difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
