Walter “David” Beasley, age 67, of Cornelia, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 6, 2024, following an extended illness.
Mr. Beasley was born on September 8, 1956, in Hall County, Georgia, to the late Walter Donald Beasley and Jimmie Nell Ingram Beasley. David was a proud graduate of North Hall High School, Class of 1974. He retired from Premier Transport, where he dedicated himself as a truck driver. Outside of his professional life, David was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. He also found immense joy in the outdoors. However, above all else, David was a family man through and through. He had a special knack for bringing laughter into their lives, earning him the title of the family jokester as well as portraying the Grinch for his nieces and nephews. His love for his family knew no bounds, and they were always his top priority. David will be remembered as a loving husband, step-father, brother, uncle, and friend.
Survivors include his loving wife of 10 years, Connie Bleckley Beasley, of Cornelia; step-sons, Logan Howard, of Cornelia; and Greyson Howard, of Cornelia; brother and sister-in-law, Stanley and Tina Beasley, of Commerce; sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia and Terry Barnes, of Gainesville; Debbie and Jim Fountain, of Lula; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Rev. Bobby Jones and Rev. Robert Nix officiating. Interment will follow in the Gethsemane Baptist Church with Rev. Shannon Irvin officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, April 8, 2024, at the funeral home.
