Vivian Vinson Pearson

Vivian Vinson Pearson, age 62 of Mt. Airy, Georgia passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Born in Eustis, Florida on June 10, 1952, she was a daughter of the late Mayzell Smith Vinson and Clinton Vinson of Otto, North Carolina. Mrs. Pearson was a retired legal secretary and member of the House of Hope Church of God in Otto, North Carolina. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Vinson was preceded in death by her husband, Retired Marine Master Sergeant, Harold “Hal” Langton Pearson, Sr.

In addition to her father, survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Matt & Lori Umbehant, Mt. Airy, GA; daughter & son-in-law, Danielle & Sam Scott, North Augusta, SC; step-sons & wives, Harold Langton, Jr. & Lori Pearson, Mt. Airy, GA; Michael Wayne & Lori Pearson, Clarkesville, GA; Brian Keith & Donna Pearson, Toccoa, GA; Jason Lee & Amber Pearson, Canton, GA; brother & sister-in-law, Gerald & Renee Vinson, Otto, NC; sisters & brothers-in-law, Debra & Ronnie Price, Mobile, AL; Lorna & David Gosnell, Cleveland, TN; 27 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, & friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 02, 2015 from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. Eugene Moore and Rev. Jerrell Beatty officiating. Interment will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 until 8 p.m. on Monday.
