Ura Ann Willocks Crowe

Ura Ann Willocks Crowe, age 69, of Clarkesville, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024.

Mrs. Crowe was born on February 17, 1955, in Habersham County, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her mother, Myrlene Sutton, and her daughter, Ura Elise Crowe.

A graduate of Habersham Central High School, Class of 1973, Ura Ann pursued her dream of caring for others by continuing her studies at Brenau College, where she earned her nursing degree. Her career as a registered nurse spanned over 40 years. Throughout her career, Ura Ann served as a traveling nurse across the North Georgia area, lending her skills and compassion to a number of hospitals. Her warm and reassuring presence brought comfort to countless patients and families, and her dedication to excellence in nursing left a lasting impact on those she cared for. Ura Ann’s career was more than just a profession; it was a true calling, and she found great joy in serving as both a nurse and a caretaker, tending to the needs of her family and loved ones with the same grace and love she extended to her patients. Beyond her remarkable career, she was a woman of many talents. She was an excellent pianist and an avid seamstress. She also devoted many hours to crocheting hats for “Tiny Stitches,” an organization that provides handmade items for newborns and cancer patients. Most importantly, Ura Ann will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister-in-law, friend, and caregiver.

Survivors include her loving husband of 51 years, Danny Crowe, of Clarkesville; sister-in-law, Chong Ja Willocks, of Clarkesville; great-nephew, Alex Alexander, of Clarkesville; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sue and Thomas Westmoreland, of Cornelia; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Donald and Kathy Crowe, of Cornelia; and sister-in-law, Dinah Crowe, of Mt. Airy.

Memorial Services will be held at 5:00 p.m., Friday, November 8, 2024, at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, with Rev. David Turner officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m., Friday, November 8, 2024, at the funeral home prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
