Terry Kenneth Pickle was born July 20, 1937, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He moved to California in 1944, where he met his wife of 62 years, Jeanette Pickle (1938-2017), Sherry Jean Pickle (1956-1972), Lorrie Ann Pickle Valencia (Rudy) and Kenneth R. Pickle (Rasene).
He moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado, in 2006 before settling in Mount Airy, Georgia, in 2011, which is where he passed on April 1, 2025.
Terry was the 4th child of Armor Pickle & Mary Elizabeth Barnett Pickle. His siblings who predeceased him were Phyllis Colleen Pickle Shipp, Armor Scott Pickle, David Pickle, and Joe Landon Pickle (adopted). Terry adored his title of “Grampa” with his grandchildren: April (Johnathon), Jeremy, Sean (Kristen), Heather (Ziad), Nicholas (Sophia), and Shannon. He was then promoted to “Great Grampa” with Angelique (Joshua), Hunter, Gabriel, Kelen, Caleb, Christian, Haydin, Alexis, Michael, Andrew, Titus, Noelle and David. And if this title were not enough, he was blessed to be a “Great-Great Grampa” to Scarlett and Elijah.
Terry’s faith and family were the most important things to him. When he retired at 65 years old, he began his Acts 20/20 ministry, which was his passion and on his mind until the very end.
Not only has he left behind his two surviving children, grands, great-grands and great-great- grands, he has also left countless others who loved and cherished him, including his brother-in-law Robert L. Broeker (Cheri), sister-in-law Shirley M. Broeker, his only niece Linda Shipp, his adopted Sprague family and many great nieces and nephews.
We are rejoicing he has been reunited with his beautiful wife and daughter, but we will miss him this side of eternity. His celebration of life will be held at Revive Church of Habersham, 2696 J. Warren Rd. Cornelia, GA 30531, on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 2 pm. His interment will be with his wife at Inglewood Cemetery in Inglewood, CA.
