Stevie McKinley Brown, also known as Stevie Kidd, Scooby Doo, Batman, and Stub, age 67, of Clarkesville, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023.
Born on December 8, 1955, in Demorest, he was a son of the late William McKinley Brown III and Lillie Mae Williams Brown Kidd. Mr. Brown was a truck driver for Fleming Wholesale until 1990 before becoming certified in small engines and refrigeration. He was an Uber driver for the last five to six years. Mr. Brown was a member of the Greater Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Hollywood. Stevie enjoyed riding motorcycles, anything with a motor, assembling model cars, and staying active. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kenny Brown; nephew, B.J. Trimiar; and brother-in-law, Aaron Martin.
Survivors include his sons: Atari Brown (fiancée, Tanya Adams) of Clarkesville, Rolondus Brown (Jill Arrowood) of Clarkesville, Lorenzo Harris (fiancée, Kayla Frankum) of Demorest, and Lekeddrick Brown of Clarkesville; a host of grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Eugene Brown of Clayton; sisters: Pamela Brown Martin, Sandra Trimiar (Bernard), and Jackie Hunter, all of Clarkesville; and former wife and best friend, Mildred Colbert Kavanagh.
Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart.
The family will receive friends from noon until the service hour on Tuesday at the funeral home.
