Severe storms swept across northern Georgia Thursday as a cold front pushed into the region from the northwest.
The storms brought heavy rain, high winds, and hail.
Howard Bell captured this video of hail falling in Demorest. There were widespread reports of dime—to quarter-size hail across Habersham County.
Elsewhere in the region, a particularly strong storm dropped golfball size hail near the Dawson/Pickens County line, and reports of damaging wind gusts occurred in Pickens, Dawson and Jackson Counties.
