Summer pattern returns this week

We’ll start the week off with a high pressure system off to our northeast keeping winds light from the east/northeast and helping keep temperatures and humidity levels down a bit. We’ll start the day off partly to mostly cloudy but should clear through the afternoon. An isolated shower at higher elevations is possible but chances are less than 20%.

Starting Tuesday, this high pressure will slide off the southeast coast turning our winds to the south. This will usher in a moisture return from the south and bring partly cloudy skies into the area. Much like Monday, a rogue shower is possible, mainly during the afternoon, but chances are less than 20%.

Wednesday through Friday will feature a very summer-like pattern with light south winds, high humidity and isolated to scattered afternoon showers and storms. There is no organized severe threat but like every day during the summer we could see some isolated instances of damaging winds or small hail.

Temperatures will return to the 80s from Wednesday onward as well.
