Severe storms are possible once again on Saturday across North Georgia.
Expect isolated to scattered showers across the region this morning. A line of showers and some storms is expected to cross the area from west to east around lunchtime. We’ll see coverage drop behind this line with only isolated to widely scattered rain/storms before another organized line moves in from the west.
The Storm Prediction Center has all of North Georgia under a marginal (level 1/5) risk for severe storms, primarily with this second line. Damaging winds and small hail are possible with an isolated tornado/waterspout not out of the question.
The storms are expected to move into northwest Georgia around 4-6PM and impact us here in Northeast Georgia from 8-10PM.
We’ll cool down significantly after the front finally clears the region tonight.
