Patience pays off tonight for local Sawyer Brown fans. The country music group will perform live in concert in downtown Cornelia. The event is part of the town’s outdoor concert series. It was postponed last year due to the pandemic.
The evening kicks off at 5 p.m. on October 9 with Shyanne Rinefierd on stage followed by Ethan Phillips, Steven Phillips and the Midnight Express.
The Sawyer Brown Band will take the stage at 8 p.m.
The concert is free to attend. Bring your own lawn chairs since it is open seating. There will be local vendors, food and drink sales, lots of music, and fun!
The concert will be held at 301 South Main Street in Cornelia.
There will be no shuttles to the concert venue. Parking will be allowed in designated areas. Handicapped parking will be located at the intersection of Berry and Wyly Street.
The city will close several downtown roads this afternoon in preparation for the event including, Dolson Street, Skyland Drive, Chambers Avenue, and Berry Street.
