Sarah Frances Crowe, age 80, of Cornelia formerly of Gainesville entered heaven Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at her residence with her family by her side.
Sarah was born in Commerce to the late Carlton George & Ruth Graham Seagraves. She worked in food service for a number of years including the First Baptist Church in Gainesville where she was a member. Sarah was a “Superhero.” Not only was she an excellent cook and mother of four, she was a mother to countless others. Not only did she love people she rescued animals as well. She loved country music, bluegrass, crocheting & embroidery. She was so loved and will be missed beyond words. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Edward Crowe; son, Charles Evans Crowe; brother, Elmer “Frog” Seagraves; sisters, Lucreda Addis, Joan Hernandez, Sheena Propes & Cynthia Seagraves.
Left to cherish precious memories, daughters, Cynthia Crowe & Cheryl Crowe; son, Charles Edward Crowe, II; grandchildren, Gregory Wehunt, Emily Linz, Victoria Lancaster, Alexander Crowe, Reece Baca & Sarah Rose Morris; great-grandchildren, Paisley Hollibush & Greyson Brooks Stewart; brothers, J.W. Seagraves & George Seagraves; sisters, Alma Jean Whitlock & Janie Garrison; 7 half brothers & sisters along with a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
The family will hold a private burial at Alta Vista Cemetery with a private celebration of life to be held later.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Humane Society of North Georgia, 845 West Ridge Rd, Gainesville, Ga 30501, St Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105-9959 or a charity of one’s choice.
