Sam White

Sam White, age 74, of the Rocks Springs Community, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2015.

Born on March 1, 1941 in Banks County, he was a son of the late Thomas Bradford and Lucy Grace Forrester White.  Mr. White was a retired poultry farmer who enjoyed horses and cars.  He was a member and former deacon at Rock Springs Baptist Church where he also sang in the choir.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, James Timothy “Tim” White; daughter-in-law, Sandi White.

Survivors include wife of 54 years, Willadene Caudell White of the Rock Springs Community; son, Scott White of New Johnsville, Tennessee; daughter-in-law, Kim White of Madawaska, Maine; grandchildren, Grace White, Esther White, Abigail White and Gavin White; step grandchildren, Nolyn Avila, Rejina Avila, Rachel Avila and Rejdan Wilson; brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Debra White of the Rocks Springs Community; nieces and spouses, Amy and Rev. Mark Stroud and Amber and Ronald Gilbert; nephew and spouse, Jason and Natalie White.

Funeral services are 2 pm Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Rocks Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Porter, Rev. Randy Strickland, Rev. Mark Stroud and Mr. Scott White officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
