Ruby Ann Gailey, age 83, of Cleveland, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023.
Born on December 8, 1939, in Toccoa, she was a daughter of the late Henry Youngblood and Anna Sosebee Youngblood. Mrs. Gailey was self-employed; she owned a daycare center. In her spare time, Ruby enjoyed spending time with her family, knitting, crocheting, shopping, watching movies, and camping. She attended Tallulah Falls School, was a 1959 graduate of South Habersham High School, and was a member of the Habersham Squares and of Chattahoochee Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Everett Gailey; brothers: Johnny, Charles, and Harold Youngblood; sisters Sarah McCall and Betty Kerce.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law Rodney Gailey (Pam) of Pensacola, Florida, and Rickey Gailey (Susan) of Cleveland; grandchildren Stephanie, Chad, Jessica, Jimmy, and Anna Gailey; great-grandchildren Jake Brazel, Bella Tharpe, Julianna Mangiapane, Levi, and Ansleigh Gailey; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 25, 2023, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart, with Rev. Lee Cantrell officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm at the funeral home on Friday, March 24, 2023.
