Olegario Zavala Campos

Olegario Zavala Campos, age 72 of Covington, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 12, 2022.

Born in Villa Union, Coahuila, Mexico on October 20, 1949, he was a son of the late Juan & Juana Zavala Campos. Ole was a foreman with Tippins Construction Company for over 53 years and was currently a machine operator with C.M.E.S. He was a wonderful husband, devoted father, and doting grandfather. Ole was a hardworking, loving person who cared deeply and was always generous to others, never expecting anything in return. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching Western movies & boxing matches, cooking, bicycling, fishing and being outdoors. Ole was of the Non-Denominational Faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-son, Dean Powell; and his sister, Maria Chavez.

Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Annie Lois Hill Campos of Covington, GA; daughter & son-law, Dolores & Damon McAdams of Covington, GA; step-son & daughter-in-law, R. David & Julie Powell of Marietta, GA; step-daughter & son-in-law, Denise & Lamar Coleman of Mount Airy, GA; brothers, Juan Campos & Abe Campos; sisters, Francesca “Quica” Vasquez, Rosa Pineda, Ene Mendoza, Marta Castaneda; grandchildren, Dominick Pittman, Jonathon Powell, Ian Powell, Evan Powell, Catee Powell, Krista Garrett, Cliff Coleman, & Justin Coleman; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, & friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Chattahoochee Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Gravely officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, July 15, 2022, at the funeral home.
