Mozelle Kelley Smith, age 93, of Baldwin, Georgia passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2018.
Mrs. Smith was born on September 12, 1925 to the late Carl and Gertrude Brown Kelley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Azero H. Smith; and brother, Boyd Kelley.
Mozelle worked 40 years at Carwood Manufacturing. After retiring, she took care of her great-grandchildren. She dearly loved her grandkids, one of which is on deployment with the United States Air Force. Mozelle enjoyed being the monster at their yearly Halloween Hayride. Her favorite thing to do was garden, and she was still potting vegetables into her 90’s. Mozelle also loved her cats, Baby and Oreo.
Survivors include her daughter and sons-in-law, Brenda and Regis Lewallen, of Baldwin; Shirley and Terrell Simmons, of Baldwin; sister and brother-in-law, Florine Kelley Justus and Bob, of Hollywood; five grandchildren, Tammy, Shane, Tim, Jamie, and Amanda; eleven great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 8, 2018 at Union Hill Baptist Church with Elder Paul Bryson, Elder Charles Chapman, and Mr. Bob Justus officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel.
