Melissa Ann Parker Mims, age 45, of Cornelia, passed away Monday, April 6, 2015.
Born on January 12, 1970, in Toccoa, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Sammy Lindsey and Judy Elaine Pruitt Parker.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Greg Martin.
Survivors include her husband, Joe Mims of Cornelia; son and fiancée, Tanner Shook and Katelyn Deed of Demorest; daughter and fiancé, Ashton Shook and Ryan Earwood of Oakwood; sister, Teresa Perry of Baxley, Georgia; grandmother, Lillian Pruitt of Mt. Airy; three nephews and two nieces; many other extended family and friends.
Memorial services will be held at a later date at Cornelia Congregational Holiness Church.
The family requests that flowers be omitted and donations may be made to the Melissa Mims Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 725, Cornelia, Georgia 30531.
