Mrs. Mary Elda McFarlin Hallford, age 83 of 424 Law House Road, Toccoa, Georgia passed away Monday, August 22, 2016 at her residence.
A daughter of the late Fitzugh L. and Flossie Caudell McFarlin, she was born February 8, 1933 in the New Bethel Community of Franklin County. She lived many years in the Friendship Community of Seneca, South Carolina and in Toccoa for the greater part of her life. She was retired from Westpoint-Stevens in Clemson and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Charles (Curly) Hallford in 2014, brothers and sisters-in-law, Noel and Minnie Lee McFarlin, George and Maedeane McFarlin, Max and Latrelle McFarlin, Donald McFarlin, Dallas and Jeanette McFarlin, L.D. (Deck) and Elise McFarlin, sisters and brothers-in-law, Manna Cook, Ruth and Henry Looney, Ted Adams, Mozelle and D.B. Holland and Roy McFarlin.
Survivors include a son, Tony Hallford of Toccoa; two grandsons, Michael Hallford of Toccoa and Dustin Hallford of Carnesville; sister, Ossie Adams of Toccoa; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Gail McFarlin of Toccoa, Ondeene and Darwin Carter of Eastanollee, Barbara McFarlin of Pelzer, South Carolina, Donald and Asaleane Hallford and Billy and Brenda Hallford of Carnesville.
Funeral services will be Thursday, August 25, 2016, 7’O’clock PM in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Dr. Tommy Childress, The Reverend Roger Elrod and The Reverend Stacy Penland officiating.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday from 5 PM until the service time at 7 PM.
