Lorena Stanley Alexander, age 86, of Alto, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2016.
Granny Lorena was born on August 15, 1929 in Banks County, Georgia to the late Earl and Ethel Lottie Wade Davidson. She was the widow of Willie M. Stanley, and is preceded in death by her siblings, Rosie, Talmadge, Dora Lee, and Leon; grandson, Ron Dillon; and great grandchildren, Josh Miller, and Alexis Miller. She was a member of The Refuge Worship Center. Granny was a farmer and home maker, known for “Granny’s canning”, cakes, and fried pies. She was a living testimony as a Godly woman. She was always the backbone of the whole family and truly will be missed.
Survivors include her daughter, Cathryn Lasseter, of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Mildred and David Miller, of Alto; sons, James Stanley, of Alto; Willie Stanley, of Royston; sisters, Geneva Loggins, of Baldwin; Lucille Baugh, of Lula; brother, Lloyd Davidson, of Lula; 11 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 4:00 p.m., Friday, April 1, 2016 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel. Interment will follow in the Wade Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 31, 2016 at the funeral home.
