Local teachers can grab a cup of joe on the go next week free of charge. The owners of North GA Home Group in Demorest are sponsoring teacher appreciation events at two local coffee houses.
Laura and Josh Anderson will pay for teachers’ coffee at Yonah Coffee in Demorest and the brand new Starbucks in Cornelia between 6-9 a.m. on Tuesday, May 7.
The Andersons are offering the free coffee as part of Teacher Appreciation Week in Habersham. “We are thankful for our teachers and the impact they have on our kids and communities,” the couple says.
This is just the latest way in which the Andersons have reached out to the local community in recent months. In December they paid the outstanding student lunch balances at all of the local elementary schools. In February, they bought breakfast at a local restaurant for over 60 local first responders.
