Long Shot

Long Shot is a romantic comedy that is equal parts raunchy and sweet with two stars embracing the material.

It stars Seth Rogen as a brash, uncompromising journalist who stumbles upon his old babysitter (Charlize Theron) and finds out she is running to be America’s first female president.

Theron becomes acquainted with his reputation as a no-holds-barred reporter and decides to hire him to be her personal speechwriter.

Their relationship goes from professional to personal in no time and they soon start to fall for one another while some of her sycophantic lackeys believe it could tarnish her chances at winning. Fortunately for Rogen, he has his best friend (O’Shea Jackson Jr.) to help give him advice.

Rogen and Theron display a terrific chemistry in a story that helps take their talents to new places while giving us a fresh and biting political satire. Besides its two leads, much of the credit goes to Dan Sterling and Liz Hannah for the smart script.

Every gag (verbal or physical) doesn’t always work, but for each moment that might fall flat, Rogen and Theron pull out another ace that saves the next scene.

I would vote on Long Shot giving you a funny time and especially because both leads have so much fun with their engaging performances.
