Lloyd Ezra Davis, age 77 of Demorest, Georgia took his heavenly flight home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 02, 2022, following a brief illness.
A life-long resident of Demorest, Georgia, he was born on March 30, 1944, a son of the late Norman Davis, Sr. & Mary Elizabeth Blair Davis. Lloyd retired from Scovill Manufacturing with over 37 years of dedicated service. In his spare time, he enjoyed landscaping his yard and planting his yearly garden. Most of all, Lloyd was a devoted husband, a proud father of his three sons, and a wonderful Grandpa to his grandson, Neil. He attended Community Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Lloyd was preceded in death by his brothers, Wade “Wadie Boy” Davis, Junior Davis, & Julian Davis; sisters & brothers-in-law, Lucille Davis Martin, Blanche & Leroy Burns, Vernia Mae & William Oscar Burns, Brenda Davis Thurmond, & brother-in-law, Grady Gosnell.
Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Ruby Louise Gragg Davis of Demorest, GA; sons & daughter-in-law, Marvin Lloyd & Linda Davis of Alto, GA; Jerry Jarrard Davis of Mt. Airy, GA; Jesse Wilborn Davis of Anderson, SC; grandson & spouse, Ethan “Neil” & Kristin Davis of Cornelia, GA; brother & sister-in-law, Rev. Ray & Janice Davis of Demorest, GA; sister, Geneva Davis Gosnell of Demorest, GA; sister-in-law, Carolyn Davis of Mt. Airy, GA; step-grandchildren, Jason Head of Alto, GA; Kay & James Davidson of Flowery Branch, GA; Randy Head of Gainesville, GA; step-great-grandchildren, Thor & Hannah Smith of Flowery Branch, GA; Zack Smith of North Carolina; Taylor & Mark Maynard of Virginia; Randy Head of Gainesville, GA; Amber & Patrick Wood of Dahlonega, GA; great-great-grandchildren, Peyton Wood, McKenzie Wood, & Preston Wood, all of Dahlonega, GA; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, & friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 04, 2022, at Hillside Memorial Chapel with Rev. Billy Burrell & Rev. Robert Clark officiating. Interment will follow in the Hazel Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ray Davis officiating at the graveside.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
