Larry Wayne Cook, age 68 of Baldwin, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2017.
Born in Alto, Georgia on February 23, 1949 he was a son of the late Laymon & Jewell Mae Wade Cook. Mr. Cook was a lifetime mechanic and owner of Larry’s Service Center and L & G Used Cars. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, supporting his Georgia Bulldogs and his two Siberian Huskies, Zepplin & Zayda.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by infant daughter, Carolyn Gail Cook; brother, Keith Cook; sister Joyce King.
Surviving are his wife, Deborah Brown Cook of Cornelia; son, Larry Justin Cook of Cornelia; daughter, Ashley Cook Carlan of Baldwin; brother and sister-in-law, Kevin & Sherry Cook of Cornelia; sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda & Garvis McElroy of Carnesville and Beverly & Joe Estafen of Buford; mother-in-law, Bessie Broome Brown of Mt. Airy; brother-in-law, Bradley Brown, II of Demorest; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Diane & Alan Moore of Flowery Branch; aunt, Allie Savage; uncle, Tony Wade; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm, Saturday, October 7, 2017 from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
