Karen Sue Dressler

Karen Sue Dressler, age 81, of Mount Airy, Georgia went home to be with her Lord Jesus on Sunday, September 20, 2020.

Mrs. Dressler was born on January 2, 1939 in Hammond, Indiana to the late Joseph and Helen Rosanswank.

Karen was a loving and faithful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and great-aunt. She served the Lord with her whole heart to the end of her life. Karen was devoted to sharing Jesus’ love with others as she prepared food, hosted gatherings, lent an ear, offered an encouraging word, and taught the Scriptures. She was fiercely loyal to her family and to her Lord Jesus Christ. All who were fortunate enough to know Karen saw a woman filled with the Holy Spirit, evidenced by the kindness, humility, and meekness with which she lived.

Survivors include her loving husband of 52 years, John Dressler, of Mt. Airy; GA; son, David Dressler, of Madison, NJ; daughter, Susanna Dressler, of Madison, NJ; daughter and son-in-law, Joanna and Mark Goodwin, of Commerce, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Susan Dressler, of Blairsville, GA; grandchildren, David’s Children – Graciella, Elliott, Madelena, Aiden, and Gavin; Joanna’s Children – Daniel, Samuel, and Joseph; Mark’s Children – Alyse, Holly, Callan, Gage, and one child on the way; brother, the late Joseph Rosanswank, Jr. and his family; sisters, Mary Cotterell, Bettie Beckwith, and Loretta McCaig and their families.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m., Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel.

The Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel with Rev. David Terrell officiating.
