Jerry Elden Taylor

Jerry Elden Taylor, age 68 of Mt. Airy, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018.

Born in Franklin, North Carolina on September 17, 1949, he was a son of the late James Homer and Lois Lambert Taylor. Mr. Taylor had a passion for Karate; he obtained his 8th degree black belt in Okinawan Karate and taught for many years. He enjoyed his two dogs, Cherokee and Skye. Mr. Taylor retired from Ross Controls and was a member of Mt. Airy Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Beth Adams Taylor of Mt. Airy; sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry J. & Kelly Taylor of Demorest and Steve & Caroline Taylor of Gillsville; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy & Johnna Taylor of Franklin, North Carolina; grandchildren and spouses, Thomas Taylor of Melbourne, Florida, Joseph & Alexis Taylor of Clayton, Donna & Rodolfo Villagomez of Melbourne, Florida, Sarah Taylor & Hope Taylor both of Melbourne, Florida, McCall Coleman of Demorest; great grandchildren, Jason Taylor and Tony Villagomez; several aunts and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm, Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Mt. Airy Baptist Church with Dr. Butch Franklin and Aaron Santor officiating. Interment will follow in New Franklin Christian Church Cemetery, 4244 New Franklin Church Rd., Canon, Georgia 30520.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm, on Friday, March 30, 2018 at the funeral home.
