James Brian Walker, age 52, of Demorest, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025.
Born on September 16, 1972, in Demorest, he was a son of Edith Fitzgerald Walker of Alto and the late Tom James Walker. Brian was a 1991 graduate of Habersham Central High School. He was a skilled carpenter, heavy machine operator, and commercial truck driver. He also worked in law enforcement for some time. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, movies, music, and his beloved fur baby, Etta Belle. Brian was of the Christian faith.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 31 years, Stephanie Sutton Walker of Demorest; daughters and son-in-law, Shelby Walker Garner (CJ) of Demorest and Elisabeth Walker of Toccoa; brother, Tommy Walker of Alto; sister and brother-in-law, Wanda Goss (Nathan) of Clarkesville; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Steve and Denise Sutton of Demorest; sister-in-law, Stacy Wilbanks (Kevin); nieces and nephews, Dallie Walker, Cody Goss (Megan), Justin Walker (Brooke), Taren Gilliland (Caleb), Chloe Wilbanks, Logan Akers (Brianna), and Marcus Wilbanks; very special friend, Koen Eller; numerous extended relatives and friends.
Funeral services are at 4 pm on Sunday, January 19, 2025, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & McEntire, with Rev. Matt Stephens officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2 pm until the service hour on Sunday at the funeral home.
