Harry Leroy Whitson, age 85 of Alto, passed away on February 19, 2021.
Born on June 13, 1935, in Columbus, Ohio, Mr. Whitson was the son of the late Herbert and Francis Gillman Whitson. Mr. Whitson was the owner of Bi-Lo Paint and Wall Paper in Florida, and he was a United States Navy Veteran. In addition to his parents, Mr. Whitson is preceded in death by brothers Richard Whitson and Robert Whitson and sister Barbara Franklin.
Survivors include son Jeffrey M. Whitson of Naples, Florida, Ricki W. Whitson (Lucy) of Hollywood, Florida, and Christopher D. Whitson (Sheryl) of Alto, sister Patricia Morris, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Private graveside services were held in Hillside Gardens Cemetery.
