It’s already time to start looking toward the 2018 Habersham County Little League season.
HCLL is actively seeking sponsors for its 20th season. Habersham County Little League President Christan Tanner has delivered the following message:
Habersham County Little League has been serving the youth of the community since 1998. We are a non-profit organization operated completely by volunteers. While it is often said that baseball and softball are declining in popularity among our nation’s youth that is certainly not the case here in Habersham County.
The number of children playing in our league has grown steadily in recent years, and with our newly expanded boundary lines to include children from Banks and White counties and our ever growing T-ball and Challenger programs, we are actively planning for an even greater number of little leaguers in the very near future. However, to do this important work we need your help serving our growing numbers ranging in age from 4-17.
Every year the cost of operating a Little League program rises. The cost of equipment, repairs, facilities and child sponsorship for families in need is substantial and while these are essential for the growth of our program we struggle annually to cover it all. It is only through the generous support of our donors that our program is able to continue each year. This is why we need your help. If you have a been a sponsor in the past, know that we are grateful and would love to have your support again for the upcoming 2018 season. For those of you who have not yet become a part of our league family, we hope that you will join us in our efforts to continue to be able to provide this much needed program to our communities youth.
The spring of 2018 will represent 20 years of our program being a vital part of our local community and we would love to be able to have our gracious donor’s names be front and center as we celebrate this large milestone in the history of our program. There are many ways to donate as you will find on the attached sheet and no amount is ever too small. As always each gift you provide our program is tax-deductible and for your convenience we will provide you with the necessary information with the donation amount for your records.
We are proud to be a part of such a wonderful community and know that only by your generous gifts are we able to continue to pursue our goals of growth each year.
