Frances Helen Wade, age 89, of Carnesville, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024.
Born on April 3, 1935, in Clarkesville, she was a daughter of the late Willie and Lizzie Phillips Burns. Frances worked with Yonah Realty for some time. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafting, sewing, yardwork, and was well known for her biscuits. Most of all, she loved her family, and enjoyed spending time with them, especially the grandchildren. She was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband Andrew Wade; a son, Kirby Wade; brothers, Oscar Burns (Vernie), Leroy Burns (Blanche), and Wilson Burns (Tex); sisters, Julie Armour (Howard), Nancy Cunningham (Junior), Vernie Johnson (Andy), and Eunice Shirley (Donald); sister-in-law, Syble Burns.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Richard Wade (Ann Nation), Kenneth Wade (Kim), Keith Wade (Loretta), Tony Wade (Nicole), Toby Wade (Angela); daughter, Tammy Wade Thomas; 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; sister, Minnie Lee Burns; brother, Nelson Burns; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorial services are at 11 am on Thursday, October 31, 2024, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart, with Rev. Bill Stacey and Rev. Alvin Burns officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10 am until the service hour on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at the funeral home.
