Fannie Mae Mote Pruitt, age 90, of Clarkesville, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Ms. Pruitt was born on April 26, 1928 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late Wofford T. and Ora Harris Mote. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Louise Ferguson, Lillie Ruth McCoy, Bonnie Dean; daughter, Hilda Mae Pruitt; sons, Hilliard Gene Pruitt, John Eddie Pruitt; grandchildren, Gregory Pruitt, Tyler Pruitt, Trevor Armour, Nancy McKellips; great grandchild, Emily Faith Thompson. Ms. Pruitt was retired from Mt. Vernon Mills, and also had worked for Chicago Rawhide and Cornelia Dairy Queen. Ms. Pruitt was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and the Cornelia Lions Club.
Survivors include her son, Patrick “Rick” Pruitt, of Gainesville; daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Dale Foster, of Mt. Airy; Gale and Bobby Weaver, of Clarkesville; daughters-in-law, Tracey Shedd Pruitt, Joyce Pruitt; twenty-seven grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel with Pastor Matthew Mote and Pastor Donald Wade officiating. Interment will follow in Level Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday, March 22, 2019 at the funeral home.
