Evelyn “Granny” Jarrell, age 85, of Clarkesville, Georgia, went to be with The Lord on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 following a sudden illness.
Mrs. Jarrell was born on January 19, 1930 in Cornelia, Georgia to the late Wiley and Effie Herron Palmer. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Mrs. Jarrell was retired from Piedmont Automotive with 15 year plus of loyal and dedicated service. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sons, David Jarrell, and Robin Jarrell; brothers, Chester Palmer, and Howard Palmer.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Kenneth Jarrell, of Clarkesville; sons and daughters-in-law, Benny and Angie Jarrell, of Clarkesville; Dale and Nina Jarrell, of Demorest; daughters-in-law, Karen Jarrell, of Tiger; Beverly Jarrell, of Cleveland; sisters, Francis Farmer, of Toccoa; Lorene Moody, of Cornelia; 8 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Rev. Tim Griffin officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at the funeral home.
