Habersham County voters went to the polls on Tuesday, December 3, to decide the last local election of 2019.
Republicans Darrin Johnston and Tim Stamey were running for the commission seat left vacant when Ed Nichols resigned in August. They were the two top vote-getters among five commission candidates on the ballot on November 5.
Although the seat is assigned a district, the position is elected at large which means all eligible county voters were able to vote in the runoff as long as they were registered to vote in Habersham County as of October 7, 2019.
