E. Faye Wilbanks Ward, age 87, of Baldwin, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2024.
Mrs. Ward was born on April 27, 1937, in Banks County, Georgia, to the late Hillard Virgil and Rumyrthe Andrews Wilbanks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Howard Ward, and her brother, H.V. “Buddy” Wilbanks, Jr.
Faye had retired from Carwood Manufacturing with many years of service. She was a member of Lamar Christian Church, where she was active in her Sunday School Class. She also enjoyed going to luncheons with the Widows Support Group at Tate’s Creek Baptist Church. Faye was extremely proud of her independence at her later stages of life. She happily would take herself anywhere she wanted to go. She also enjoyed spending time with her camping buddies on many camping trips. Faye will be remembered as a loving wife, sister, aunt, and friend to all those she knew.
Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Vivian and Bobby Wills, of Baldwin,; brothers and sisters-in-law, Grover Lee and Lynn Wilbanks, of Baldwin; Rickey and Janet Wilbanks, of Baldwin; brothers, Stanley Wilbanks, of Baldwin; Michael Wilbanks, of Baldwin; Clinton Wilbanks, of Baldwin; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Wilbanks, of Baldwin; brothers-in-law and their spouses, Kenneth and Elaine Ward, of Cannon; David and Gwen Ward, of Lavonia; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews who meant the world to her.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 17, 2024, at the Lamar Christian Church with Rev. Jerrell Beaty and Nephew Jason Long officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, November 16, 2024, at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel.
