Curtis Thomason, Jr., age 73, of Carnesville, GA passed away Thursday, May 5, 2016.
Mr. Thomason was born December 1, 1942 in Franklin County, Georgia to the late Curtis Thomason, Sr. and Bertie Mae Ayers Thomason. He was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and was a former Baldwin City Councilman and volunteer fireman for the City of Baldwin. Mr. Thomason was a retired poultry farmer and was formerly employed with LP Gas Company and Yonah Propane. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Cale Thomason.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Pat Shubert Thomason of Carnesville; son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Melinder Caudell of Carnesville; son, Trent Thomason of Carnesville, and six grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 P.M., Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Whitfield Funeral Home South Chapel with Rev. Terrill DeLand, Rev. Mike Wilson and Rev. Sanford Kimbrell officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M., Friday, May 6, 2016 at the funeral home.
