If you’re traveling I-85 through Franklin County today and tomorrow (July 8 and 9) plan for possible delays.
Weather permitting, Georgia Department of Transportation construction partners will pace traffic in both the northbound and southbound lanes. Traffic will be slowed as crews continue work to replace a bridge on State Route 198 over the interstate.
Speeds will be reduced between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. both days along a .19 mile stretch of I-85 three miles southwest of Carnesville. Drivers can expect delays.
The overall project is expected to be completed by November.
