LifeSouth Community Blood Centers in partnership with Stoney’s Family Restaurant is hosting a blood drive in honor of Baby Layla on Friday, Nov. 17, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Stoney’s Family Restaurant, 389 Washington St., Clarkesville, Ga.
Baby Layla was struck by a vehicle outside her home in Clarkesville and is being treated for her injuries at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. The blood collected from the drive will be distributed to CHOA in her honor.
The goal for the drive is to collect 15 or more donations. All donors will receive a T-shirt or elite donor blanket and be entered to win a LifeSouth gift bag.
Blood donors must be at least 17, or 16 with parental permission, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be in good health. A photo ID is required. LifeSouth donors receive a complementary cholesterol screening with each donation.
