Charles Kenneth Crocker

Charles Kenneth Crocker, age 70, of Powder Springs, formerly of Habersham County, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2024.

Born on April 4, 1954, in Banks County, he was a son of the late Coy Lee and Edith Dodd Crocker. Kenneth lived in Jessup, Georgia, for approximately ten years, and while there, he worked on the shrimp boats and performed in the Special Olympics. Upon his relocation to Habersham County, he worked for a number of years in housekeeping with Habersham Medical Center and was active in Avita. In his free time, he enjoyed camping, fishing, and bowling. Mr. Crocker loved his family and his Habersham Retreat family, but most of all, he loved The Lord, church, and Gospel singings. He enjoyed a great life and will be greatly missed by his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Crocker, and half-brother, Coy Lee Crocker, Jr.

Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, Carson Crocker (Deborah) of Alto; sisters and brothers-in-law: Jeanell Stewart (Jimmy) of Demorest, Geneva Shirley (Chester) of Cornelia, and Louise Terrell of Baldwin; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends; and his family and friends at Habersham Retreat, Avita Community Partners, Habersham Home, and Powder Springs Memory Care Unit.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm on Sunday, July 14, 2024, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart, with Rev. John Umberhant officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Congregational Holiness Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the service hour on Sunday at the funeral home.
