Habersham County fire authorities are urging the public to exercise caution, as a burn ban remains in effect for the county until weather conditions improve. This reminder comes as a precaution, as dry and windy conditions can quickly turn small brush burns into dangerous wildfires.

Residents are urged to check local burn restrictions before starting any fires and to avoid outdoor burning during windy or dry conditions.
