Bonnie Mae Littleton Dodgins, age 87 of Demorest, Georgia passed away Saturday, July 11, 2015 at a private care facility following an extended illness.
Mrs. Dodgins was born November 19, 1927 in Clayton, Georgia to the late Elijah and Bessie Teams Littleton. She was a retired nursing home assistant. In addition to her parents, Mrs.Dodgins was preceded in death by her husband, John Dodgins; son, John Lewis Dodgins; brothers, James Littleton and Junior Littleton; and sister, Stella Ray.
Mrs. Dodgins is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Phil Power of Homer, Georgia; daughters, Judy Martin of Toccoa, Georgia and Shelby Dodgins of Baldwin, Georgia; sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond and Betty Dodgins of Mt. Airy, Georgia, and Allen and Doris Dodgins of Toccoa, Georgia; sister, Lorene Shelley of Alabama; 15 grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Claudia Dodgins of Clayton, Georgia.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Monday, July 13, 2015 at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel in Demorest with Rev. Dugar Strickland officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, July 13 from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour.
