A Clermont man is in jail, charged with ten counts of sexually exploiting children.
Investigators say Trey Newton Bryson possessed multiple pornographic images of kids on his cell phone. The images included six photos and a video of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct, according to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO).
In addition, while examining Bryson’s phone, investigators say they found evidence he had produced three sexually explicit images of a child between 3 and 5 years of age.
“The local victim has been identified and the child’s family has been notified,” says Hall County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson B.J. Williams.
Lengthy investigation
HCSO’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit (ICAC) was tipped off to Bryson’s alleged online activities nearly three years ago. However, the sheriff’s office says they were unable to gain access to his electronic devices until recently.
Investigators finished examining the data on Monday morning, May 5, 2025. Within hours, Bryson was in custody.
The alleged crimes date back to between June 18 and September 22, 20222. According to the sheriff’s office, the data examination revealed that during that time, Bryson possessed child sex abuse material (CSAM) involving kids between the ages of 3 and 14. Investigators also determined he used a social media app to share a video showing a child between the ages of 8 and 10 engaged in sexual acts with an adult male.
Bryson was booked at the Hall County Jail just before 1 p.m. on May 5. He remains in jail with no bond. According to Williams, no additional charges are expected to be filed against him.
