Slow start to early voting in Habersham

Voter registration, early voting, Saturday voting, and absentee voting will all take place at the Elections and Voter Registration office at the Habersham County Administration Building on 130 Jacob's Way Clarkesville. Voter registration ends on October 10 with early voting beginning on October 16. (NowHabersham.com)

It’s been a dismal early voter turnout so far in Habersham County’s municipal elections.

Out of 8,463 registered municipal voters, only 81 had cast ballots through the first seven days of early voting. No city recorded more than 1% voter turnout. (see the breakdown below).

Early voting in Habersham

Early voting began Oct. 16 and continues weekdays through Nov. 3 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Habersham County Elections Office in Clarkesville.

Saturday voting will be held at the Elections Office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 28. The last day to apply for an absentee by mail ballot is Oct. 27.
