Violet Ann Ledford, age 83 of Talmo, entered heaven Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at her residence with her family by her side.
Violet was born in Gainesville to the late Robert Eli & Lovelle Clark Loggins. She retired from a career in manufacturing, having last worked at Makita. She loved quilting and gardening, but most of all, she loved her family. She was a member of the Church of God in Commerce & was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Ledford; sister, LaVern Burnette; brother-in-law, Swayne Lewallen.
Left to cherish precious memories, sons & daughters in law, Tracy & Hilda Ledford & Michael & Tammy Ledford; sisters Iris Martin & Janice Lewallen; brother-in-law James Burnette; grandchildren Tabitha & Jeremy Kitchens, Selena Ledford & Teddy Reid, Tyler Ledford, Savannah Ledford; great-grandchildren, Emory Kitchens, Mason Kitchens & Mechyna Ledford; a number nieces, nephews & other relatives also survive.
Funeral services honoring Violet will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2023, at the Ward’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Barnes & Rev. Louis Gaddis officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Talmo Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 Friday, February 17, 2023, and again on Saturday, February 18, 2023, from 12 pm until service time at the funeral home.
