Habersham County Grand Jury indicts 16 defendants on various charges

The Habersham County Grand Jury handed down indictments against 16 defendants this week. Four of the cases involved alleged sex crimes against children, six involved battery and assault charges and four of the cases related to police pursuits. The remainig two cases involve a defendant accused of biting a sheriff’s deputy and a convicted felon from Alabama allegedly caught with a firearm in Habersham.

Indictments

Robert Anderson
Robert Thomas Anderson was indicted on four counts including fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, failure to maintain lane, driving on a suspended license, and reckless driving. On October 8, 2021, Anderson allegedly refused to pull over for a traffic stop initiated by Habersham County Sheriff’s Deputy David Moulder. He’s accused of leading the officer on a high-speed chase in the rain on GA 365 at speeds over 85 miles per hour.

Zachary Bulman
Zachary Joseph Bullman, 21, was indicted on four counts of sexual exploitation of children. Habersham County Sheriff’s investigators arrested Bulman in May. They say he used several Snapchat accounts under different names to store four child pornography videos.

Carl Cox
Carl Abraham Cox was indicted for cruelty to children and simple battery charges for striking a child under the age of 18 with a belt. The indictment states the act caused “cruel and excessive physical pain.”

William Harrison
William Joseph Harrison was indicted on two of three counts against him including simple battery and theft by receiving stolen property. Jurors did not indict him on a kidnapping charge. Cornelia police charged Harrison in connection with an incident outside a Cornelia motel. He allegedly punched his girlfriend in the mouth and forced her into his truck. Police also charged Harrison for receiving and retaining a 2004 Superior Utility trailer owned by the City of Gainesville that officers said he should have known was stolen.

Christopher Head
Christopher Wayne Head was indicted for false imprisonment, aggravated battery, and aggravated assault under the Family Violence Act. Head is accused of strangling a woman he lived with and maliciously injuring her foot.

Triniti Holmes
Triniti I Holmes was indicted for aggravated battery and unlawful acts of violence in a penal institution. According to the indictment, Holmes partially blinded Makayla Hill and threw hot water in her face during an altercation at Lee Arrendale State Prison in Alto on November 28, 2021.

Tristan Hunsucker
Tristan Ray Hunsucker was indicted on four counts including fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, driving on the wrong side of the roadway, turn signal violation, and reckless driving. The charges stem from a police chase on August 25, 2021, in which Hunsucker fled from a Georgia State Patrol officer. The approximate 5-mile chase ran from GA 17 in Clarkesville to GA 365. It ended when Hunsucker crashed while attempting to turn onto GA 197 in Mt. Airy.

Kenneth Jackson
Kenneth Earl Jackson was indicted for aggravated child molestation and aggravated sexual battery against a girl under the age of 16.

Brianna Kelly
Brianna C. Kelly was indicted on two counts of obstruction of an officer and one count of disorderly conduct. According to the indictments, on September 7, 2021, Kelly allegedly bit Habersham County Sheriff’s Deputy Brian Collins and refused to exit her vehicle at the command of another deputy, Ethan Neal. The following day, Kelly allegedly screamed and cursed at another man, Jerald Palmer, in such a manner that it placed him “in reasonable fear” for his safety.

Elijah Milholen
Elijah Milholen was indicted on two counts of aggravated assault and one count of aggravated battery. He is accused of assaulting Celso Moraes with a motor vehicle and PVC pipe, injuring his ribs.

Randall Mull
Randall Gene Mull, 35, was indicted for child molestation and enticing a child for indecent purposes. Mull allegedly attempted to assault a young family member while she was at his house for a sleepover with his daughter.

Brandon Norwood
Brandon Laquency Norwood was indicted for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was arrested on November 18, 2021, in Habersham County with a Taurus .380 revolver in his possession, the indictment states. In August of 2019, Norwood was convicted of felony first-degree robbery in Jefferson County, Alabama.

Ashly Tolbert
Ashly Sophia Tolbert was indicted on six counts including fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, two counts of obstruction of an officer, driving under the influence, endangering a child while driving under the influence, and hit and run. The charges against Tolbert stem from an incident on June 29, 2021, when Tolbert, who was allegedly driving drunk, fled from officers as they tried to arrest her outside the Cornelia fire station on South Main Street. As one of the officers tried to remove Tolbert’s infant son from the vehicle, Tolbert allegedly drove away, dragging Cornelia Police Officer Andrea Hunter and striking Sgt. Deloney Gunnels in the arm with an open door. Gunnels fired on the tire to disable the vehicle. Tolbert is then accused of leading officers on a chase during which she rear-ended a Toyota Corolla driven Maria Morales of Baldwin. After the crash, Tolbert kept fleeing, but the wreck disabled her vehicle, and she was eventually taken into custody at Habersham Village, arrest records show.

Michael Vasquez
Michael Stanely Jurado Vasquez was indicted on two counts of child molestation and one count of aggravated child molestation. He is accused of molesting two girls under the age of 16. The charges stem from three alleged incidents that occurred over a ten-year time span from 2011 to 2021.

Christopher Woodall
Christopher Robert Woodall was indicted for aggravated assault and simple assault under the Family Violence Act. He is accused of threatening a woman with a knife and cutting a couch with a knife near where another female resident of the home was sitting.

Quintin Yeater
Quintin Reese Yeater was indicted on four counts including fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, speeding, reckless driving, and driving on a suspended license. The charges relate to a high-speed chase on November 10, 2021, in which Yeater is accused of fleeing from Habersham County Sheriff’s Deputy Brandon Holcomb. The chase started on Central Avenue in Demorest and ran down Demorest Mt. Airy Highway to GA 365, topping speeds of 93 miles per hour.
