Franklin “Frank” Wilbanks, age 71, of Baldwin, Georgia went to his heavenly home on Saturday, January 16, 2021.
Mr. Wilbanks was born on September 30, 1949, in Stephens County, Georgia to the late G.T. and Ruth Wilbanks. He was a member of Lamar Christian Church. Mr. Wilbanks was retired from Fieldale Farms with 32 years of dedicated service. After retirement, he continued to raise chickens for Fieldale Farms since 1977. He was a loved member of his community, and he spent much time under his big oak tree waving to people as they drove by.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Sherri Wilbanks, of Carnesville; daughter, Stephanie Ray, of Atlanta; granddaughter, Lauren Ray; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Gloria Wilbanks, of Baldwin; Marshal and Joy Wilbanks, of Baldwin; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Karl Harris, of Demorest; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 18, 2021, at the Broad River Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Tim Phillips officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., Monday, January 18, 2021, at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel.
