If you’re looking for part-time work, the Habersham County School System might just be looking for you. The system is hosting a substitute hiring event, run by Kelly Services, Thursday, October 15.
The school system is looking for subs to fill in when teachers, paraprofessionals, nutrition workers, and custodians have to be out. According the Habersham Schools’ Human Resources Director Angela Robinson, this is part of a regular recruitment process.
“We are actually fully staffed in all schools with the exception of a couple of openings that have just occurred,” says Robinson. “This is not a new process or something that we put in place due to COVID.”
Kelly Services supplies school systems and other businesses with subs when they are needed. The Habersham County School System has been working with Kelly Services for about 12 years.
“They come into our building and hold recruitment fairs, and they go to other businesses in our area to recruit subs for us,” explains Robinson. “Since this year is so unique, they are bringing in the Kelly Mobile Van to help with the recruitment process.”
The Kelly Mobile Van will be at Demorest Elementary School from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 14 for those interested in applying as subs for Habersham County’s public schools.
The school is located at 3116 Demorest – Mt. Airy Highway.
