Billy Eugene Smith, Sr., age 65 of Cornelia, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018.
Born in Cartersville, Georgia, on February 22, 1953 to Annie Lee Boswell and the late A.W. Smith. Mr. Smith was a self employed painter.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Smith.
Surviving are his wife, Karen Powell Smith; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly & Roger Mikowski of Demorest; daughter, Cassie Smith of Mableton; sons, Andy Law of Gulf Shores, Alabama and BJ Smith of Mableton; brother and sister-in-law, Freddy & Sam Smith of Powder Springs; sisters-in-law, Vicki Hall of Powder Springs and Pam Smith of Columbiana, Alabama; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jack & Bernice Powell of Powder Springs; grandchildren, Hollis Mikowski, Aynsley Smith, Lynley Smith, Gunner Law, Avery Law, Adelynn Law, McKenzie Law, Justin Dulgar and Avalyn Dulgar; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 1 pm, Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Foothills Community Church in Cornelia. Dinner will follow after the service.
The family will receive friends from 12 pm until the service hour at the church.
