Brant L. Wright, who is currently serving as Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance at Montana Tech University, has been named Vice President of Administration and Finance at Piedmont College.
As the college’s chief financial officer, Wright will direct and develop Piedmont’s annual budget, serve as a member of the President’s Cabinet, and provide oversight of the Controller’s Office, Human Resources, and Facilities Management and Safety.
A native of Michigan, Wright is a graduate of Oakland University (Rochester, Michigan) and earned a M.S. in Finance from Walsh College (Troy, Michigan). In addition to Montana Tech, Wright has served as controller for Idaho State University (Pocatello, Idaho) and worked in budgeting and finance leadership roles at Walsh, the University of Toledo (Toledo, Ohio) and Central Missouri State University (Warrensburg, Missouri).
“Mr. Wright is a seasoned executive who has worked in higher education for 27 years, and we are delighted that he is joining Piedmont,” said Piedmont College President James F. Mellichamp. “He is a leader in the areas of finance and administration and has a profound understanding of the needs and challenges impacting higher education.”
Wright will begin his new duties June 1.
“I am grateful to have this opportunity and excited to be joining Piedmont College,” said Wright. “I look forward to being a part of Piedmont College and working closely with the faculty, staff, students, alumni and the members of the community.”
