State Patrol releases name of woman injured in wreck on Glade Creek Parkway

The State Patrol identifies the victim of a car crash on Glade Creek Parkway as 22-year-old Shekari Elizabeth Durham of Toccoa.

Durham was seriously injured in the Monday morning accident.

It happened around 8:14 a.m. The State Patrol says Durham was traveling south on Glade Creek Parkway near the intersection of Stonecypher Road. She began to enter a left turn when her car left the roadway. The 2006 BMW Durham was driving struck a ditch. The car then traveled down a private drive and hit a tree.

Personnel from Habersham Emergency Services extricated Durham from the car. An ambulance transported her to the Level II Trama Center at Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) in Gainesville for treatment.

Durham was listed in serious condition in ICU as of Monday afternoon.

One person was trapped inside the car after it ran off the roadway and hit a tree. (HCES)
