The Atlanta Braves are back home in Georgia with the Commissioner’s Trophy after winning the World Series Tuesday in Houston. Fans can catch a glimpse of the trophy and all their favorite team players as the Braves celebrate with a hometown parade Friday.

The parade is scheduled to kick off around Noon on November 5 at the intersection of Peachtree and Marietta Streets in downtown Atlanta. It will then run to 10th Street before making its way to the interstate to head up to Cobb County.

When the parade reaches Cobb County, it will begin at Riverwood Parkway and proceed up Cumberland Parkway to The Battery. The parade will end at Truist Park where the Braves will take part in a ticketed event.

“Braves Country is invited to line the parade route to cheer on their World Series Champion Atlanta Braves,” the team posted to social media.

Fans with tickets can also watch the parade and join the post-parade celebration and concert with Atlanta natives and Grammy Award-winning artists Ludacris and Big Boi inside Truist Park.

Tickets are free but must be reserved in advance, according to the Braves. Tickets and parking passes for the celebration at Truist Park will be available to the general public starting at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4 at www.Braves.com/parade.

“To ensure the safety of all guests, The Battery Atlanta will have limited capacity on Friday, November 5, during the celebration,” Cobb County officials say. “Access for non-ticket holders will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis.”

Anyone traveling to or around the celebration Friday should expect significant traffic delays. MARTA bus and rail transit services are also expected to be heavily impacted by the crowds.

Cobb County is giving students and teachers a holiday Friday to celebrate the World Series Champion Atlanta Braves. Marietta is also closing its schools.

The Braves picked up their first title win in 26 years when they beat the Houston Astros 7-0 in Game 6 of the World Series.

It was a remarkable feat for a team plagued by injuries and off-the-field issues that removed Mike Soroka, Marcell Ozuna and Ronald Acuña, Jr. from their lineup.

The Braves didn’t record their first winning record until Aug. 6 and they totaled just 88 wins on their way to the championship.
