A Habersham County woman is hospitalized today after a tree fell on her during Monday night’s storm.
The accident happened in a subdivision off of New Liberty Road near Clarkesville. The woman was transported to Habersham Medical Center and then transferred to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, according to Habersham Sheriff’s Lt. Matthew Wurtz. “She had pretty significant injuries,” he says. “Not life threatening, but serious.”
The woman has not been publicly identified. There’s no updated word at this time on her condition.
