The Lady Indians remained hot with a 7-1 decisive win on Wednesday evening at White County. Ryleigh Wilson tallied a hat trick with 3 goals to lead the offensive end.
“Another rainy but successful night for TFS soccer,” says coach Laura Higbie.
The Lady Indians came out strong with a Betsey Orr goal from a Wilson assist in the first two minutes. The girls scored three more in the first half, one unassisted rebound by Wilson and then LB Kafsky found the back of the net on a pass from left back Nora Mitchell. White County countered with a goal before Tallulah Falls finished off the half with a goal from Kafsky with 9 seconds to go. That had TFS up 4-1.
The second half featured 3 more goals for TFS. Wilson assisted a breakaway for Amari Ernst, then Kafksy knocked in a goal off a rebound. Wilson completed her hat trick shortly after.
“It was an impressive outing for the girls,” adds Higbie. “All players once again received playing time. The back line was impressive again, and goalie Savana Owensby once again led with enthusiasm!”
The Lady Indians move to 3-0 on the season.

BOYS
Kale Borchers supplied well more than enough on Wednesday evening at White County, helping Tallulah Falls MS to a 9-2 win. Though the team won big, it took a halftime talk to get the team on track.
“We traveled on a rainy day to take on White County, and we came out a little flat and paid for it early as they took the lid off our defense and scored within the first two minutes,” says coach Chris Kafsky. “The boys tightened up, perhaps too much as they tried to find their footing on a slick field.”
Borchers got a goal early off an assist from Isaac Farris to tie the contest, and Farris knocked one home to put TFS up 2-1. Borchers added another to give the Indians a 3-2 lead after White County had tied it up. That 3-2 score held to the break.
“At the half, we discussed our plan to come out flowing and disciplined,” says Kafsky.
That talk paid off, as Borchers went crazy with 4 goals the rest of the way. Farris tallied another and Tyson Hall did as well off a beautiful free kick.
“The team was fantastic tonight coming from behind and facing adversity,” adds Kafsky. “This was a great team effort.”
TFS is now 3-0 on the season.
